Hello, I am happy to have joined the forum. I have owned an 1982 Audi 5000 turbo for many years, about 20 years. I bought it from one of my customers who lost his drivers licence due to failing eyesight. So I have been fixing it up for the last 7 or 8 years. It has NO rust, so is very nice in that regard. I have swapped the 10v engine for a 20v 3B engine and the automatic gearbox has been replaced with a 5 speed manual gearbox from a Passat. I need to find a few more bits and pieces for it, so hopefully, I can reach out to forum members for help.
I will upload a few more pics, but here is one of the engine swap
Russ

Hello Russ
Welcome to our forum. Nice project. There are not many customized Audi's here. I personally like that, but most of the members keep their car as original as possible.
I'm looking forward to see the pics. Let us know, if you need help with them.
Best regards
Dario

Re: Greetings from Vancouver Island
Hi Dario, My pics do not seem to upload. I have tried dragging and dropping it, and also using the Attachments tab below the chat box. Neither worked!
I would appreciate a tip on how to do it.
As for the engine swap, the North American spec turbo was so underpowered, I think they were 130hp. As well with the old 3 speed automatic, terrible!

Re: Greetings from Vancouver Island
We usually use platforms like www.picr.de to upload pictures there and insert the link in the thread afterwards.
@all: Maybe somebody knows an Englisch page to do that?
Yes, it was underpowered in US. The 20VT is a great engine, we have it in our 100 S4. I am curious to see how you do it.
Best regards
Dario
